What is If You Read This?

If You Read This is a check-in app for people who want a safety net when they are alone. Users set a check-in interval, such as every 24 hours or every few days. If they do not check in before their deadline, the app sends a message to the contacts they chose, letting them know something may be wrong.

Think of it like a digital check-in call. The person who added you trusts you enough to be on their list.

Why you are seeing this page

Someone you know added your phone number as an emergency contact inside the app. When they do that, the app shows them a screen making clear that you will be notified if they miss a check-in. They agreed to that before adding you.

When would you get a message?

Only if the person who added you misses their check-in deadline. That is the only reason we would ever text you. No promotions, no reminders, nothing else.

If they check in on time, you will never hear from us.

Reply STOP to any message from this number at any time. You will be immediately removed and will not receive any further messages. Reply HELP for support.
